A day in the life of an Outbound Business Development looks like….

  • Initiate the sales process through multiple outbound cold calling, email, social media touch points
  • Help identify and implement ways to improve the lead generation and sales processes for outbound sales
  • Proactively own a book of leads and nurture them to the point that they’re ready to make a purchase decision
  • Self-sourcing of additional new business opportunities for Vend.• Understanding customer requirements and have the first consultation with prospective customers
  • Collaborating with Marketing on development and following-up of direct marketing campaigns
  • Attending various events to demonstrate Vend and our offerings
  • Continually searching for and increasing the number of potential customers to prospect
  • Make strategic recommendations and business cases on how we can improve our outbound efforts
  • Improving our knowledge base and business intelligence on the retail sector in the region
  • Contributing as part of the wider team to achieve organisational objectives even if this means doing things that aren’t strictly within the scope of your role

Does this sound like you?

  • With 1+ years outbound phone sales experience, you know your way around a phone and love making a sale
  • You can communicate with anyone and are very comfortable making a high-volume of outbound sales calls over the phone
  • You’ve qualified more sales leads than you can count and have previously generated a robust pipeline of leads
  • A fast-paced dynamic sales environment is your kind of scene
  • You’re genuinely curious and interested in new technologies, local businesses, and the retail sector
