Frontend Engineer (React)

HealthMatch is a medical technology company that applies machine learning and artificial intelligence to clinical data to save lives.

We’re on a mission to structure and understand the world’s medical data, starting by encoding complex medical criteria used to qualify patients into clinical trials and matching it to patient profiles. With AI and software at the core, HealthMatch delivers a radically simple product to match patients with drug trials, backed by an execution approach to data that is deceptively complex to achieve and replicate. In doing so, HealthMatch is dramatically changing an industry that has essentially not moved beyond telephones and excel spreadsheets.

We’re a rapidly growing early stage startup that has raised seed funding from a top VC fund, as well as from founders and early team members of tops startups including WhatsApp and Google.

As an early member of the software-engineering team, you will be working in an interdisciplinary group and, as such, will need to have a solid knowledge of the fundamentals of computer science, coupled with a fierce intellect and general curiosity. An ability to work autonomously is as important as being able to contribute to a team.

On top of a core software skill set focussed around designing and implementing the next stages of the HealthMatch platform, we are looking for individuals who bring new ideas to the table, challenge the status quo, and are excited by the opportunity to tie together

seemingly disparate bodies of knowledge.

• Expert knowledge of React.js (React Native a Bonus)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent practical experience;
• Expertise translating design and a solid understanding of UI/UX
• Ability to write high performance, reusable code for UI components, including appropriate testing

• Collaborate effectively with product designers and founders to build a next-generation application with a focus on an exceptional user-side experience
• Build a clean, modern and intuitive customer facing application
• Build a clean, scalable, responsive React application that is well tested and extendable
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks
• Participate in design and code reviews
• Identify and communicate best practices for front end engineering
• Apply best practices, including: CI/CD, Automated Testing (TDD/BDD), Monitoring, Analytics, Security
